Speld QLD Workshop

  • Speld Qld Wooloongabba (map)

In the average Australian classroom there will be 2-3 children with Dyslexia, silently struggling to keep up with their classmates. It can often be very challenging in our fast paced classrooms to identify these children and cater to the diverse learning needs of all students.

Speld Qld is teaming up with learning expert Leslie Keast-Patch to offer teachers and parents a 2 day workshop on Dyslexia and Literacy. Over the course of 2 days Leslie and the workshop attendees will explore:
• Exactly how children learn to read, write and spell
• Why some children struggle to learn these skills
• What we currently understand about learning difficulties and Dyslexia
• How to identify and understand the traits of a Dyslexic learner
• Alternative methods and strategise to assist Dyslexic learners in the classroom and at home

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enrich your classroom and the lives of your students!
